DVHS PTSA welcomes you back to school and invites you to join PTSA! By joining, your annual membership and any additional donations support our work focused on our DVHS community. We do not fundraise - everything we do is reliant on membership and donations.

We welcome members to attend meetings and presentations, join a committee, or volunteer if you see something of interest. However, members are not required to volunteer or attend meetings.

Connect Through Communications by publishing a weekly SCHOOL Newsletter with timely information
DVHS Staff/Department/Principal Presentations to inform and highlight what's happening on campus
Family Engagement presentations, workshops, expert panels, documentary screenings on various topics
Health, Safety & Wellness efforts, working with staff and student leadership
Inclusion & Diversity to ensure a welcoming and inclusive school community reflective of our diversity; promote/maintain “No Place for Hate Certification”, "Words Matter Week", and other inclusiveness and anti-bullying initiatives
Advocacy at the site and school level for students and their families, and participating in Legislative Advocacy through the California PTA.
Reflections Arts Program that encourages students to express themselves through multiple art mediums for this nationwide program celebrating all areas of the arts.
Senior Scholarship Awards where in past years, we have awarded up to $5,000 to graduating seniors.
Teacher Grants: Award grants to teachers/staff to support innovation, academic, social and emotional projects and efforts, which in the past have totaled between $2,000 and $5,000.
Thoughtful Giving Through Sister School Donations to support our Sister School in Oakland through donation drives (for school supplies, toys, and much more)
Special Needs (Exceptional Education): Advocate for Special Needs/Exceptional Education students, helping to ensure they have access, are included and considered in campus initiatives, programs and events.

DVHS PTSA is a 501(c)(3) organization. Consult your tax advisor for deductibility of your membership/donation.
